Here you can view Michelle's final project work that she produced for university during her final year of her MA in Photography during 2017/18 academic year.

The project itself combines photography with real ecology, mythology and the fantastical in the idea that there is a world that exists within own but is hidden by the world being dystopian.

Each crafted image pieces together Photoshop skills in editing, layering  and using adjustments to make the photomontages seen here.

In an academic sense the photomontages were created by applying theoretical knowledge to practice based skills to develop the type of thinking required to allow each image to generate meaning when viewed by an audience. Ideas of Climate Change accelerating within our present instead of the future began the first chapter of the story the project presents. It then flowed into the idea that there is a lost world revealing itself to be archived for humans of the future just as ancient cultures have done throughout history.

This approach took the project to be viewed in VR (Virtual Reality) instead of traditional printed imagery during the exhibition that was held in Project Space Plus, Lincoln University, Lincoln in October 2018.
